Bibi ka Maqbara: Built by Azam Shah in the year 1638 AD. The Bibi ka Maqbara is the son’s tribute to his mother, Begum Rabia Duurani wife of Emperor Aurangzeb. This grandiose structure stands majestically in a bid to compete with the Agra’s Taj Mahal. The central tomb is ornamented with the white marble and the area behind is adorned with perforated picture frames. Panchakki: An engineering marvel of the time built by Malik Ambar was powered by the flow of water to grind the flour. The water from the far hill was pushed to flow with pressure, as the result, the flour mill starts running and grinding the flour. The Pacnhakki was used to feed millions of pilgrims.
Darwazas: Most of the monuments in Aurangabad are of Mughal, Maratha and Nizam period. There are four main Darwazas leading to the city. As the part of the defense system there were 8 darwazas which protect the entire city.
